wctssa co-op services
Loraine ISD provides a comprehensive program for students with disabilities and is dedicated to ensuring that all children with disabilities have available to them a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) that emphasizes special education and related services designed to meet each student’s unique needs. A continuum of services and supports is available across the district. Emphasis is placed on providing programs designed to include successful participation and progress in the general curriculum in the least restrictive environment and to prepare the children for employment and independent living after graduation.
Loraine ISD and eight other school districts are members of the West Central Texas Shared Services Arrangement (WCTSSA). This arrangement allows Loraine ISD and the eight other school districts located in this rural West Texas area to share personnel and services, which in turn facilitates in meeting the needs of a variety of students. WCTSSA offices are located in the Sweetwater Administration Building. Please call 325 235-8621 if you have any questions concerning students suspected of having a disability or students diagnosed with a disability. You may also contact the Loraine campus administrator for more information @ 325-737-2225.
